A few weekends ago, we had an open weekend in Austin. We ventured out that Friday night to a pizza place we had heard good things about. Pieous was further south than us, but not too far. It was a nice night, so we sat on the patio. I thought the pizza was really good! We got prosciutto and arugula for us and cheese for Lane. We ate a lot of pizza with prosciutto when we were in Italy, so it took us back!

We finished the night with Amy's Ice Cream! It was my first time there. Pretty tasty!
Saturday night, my college roommate Riley and her husband, Brandon came in town. I hadn't seen her in a long time! They live in San Antonio, so they just drove in for a night. Riley is expecting her first baby in January, so I was happy to see her and give her a little gift for Baby Gaston!

Kyle and Brandon went to the store to get some meats and came back with basically the whole butcher's case. Brandon is a "grill master" so it all turned out pretty tasty! I took this picture when he was almost finished clearing off the meats. It looks like he cooked us one measly steak. Haha!

The next morning we went to breakfast. Lane was completely entertained by Brandon. He's a funny guy!
It's always nice catching up with old friends you haven't seen in a while. Especially when you pick up right where you left off!
