Halloween 2013

After all the fun we had leading up to Halloween I was hoping Lane would still be into it on the REAL day!  And he was!

He started the day by going to school.  They had a "pumpkin party" that day and he enjoyed decorating cookies and doing lots of pumpkin activities.

We were a little late on carving our jack-o-lantern this year, and planned to do it the night before Halloween, but I ended up having a migraine.  We had to squeeze it in after Lane got home from school!  Thankfully Mommy is a fast worker and we knocked out two pumpkins just in time!

My little helper lost interest pretty quickly, but was helpful for a while!

Presenting:  Our Jack-o-Lanterns!

This one was modeled after Lane's Jack-o-Lantern that he drew at the beginning of October!

Our proud guy with his pumpkins!

That night, it was finally time for Trick or Treating!  Lane got all dressed in his knight in shining armor costume and Scout in her dragon costume.

Here's a look back at Lane and Scout's costumes throughout the years!

Our brave knight, ready to go get some candy!

Lane did pretty well this year!  We made it all the way down our street and back and he filled his bucket about half full before saying "I think I have enough candy.  I'm ready to go home."

We had a FUN Halloween and can't wait until next year when we will have another little kiddo to dress up!

Gearing up for Halloween

We packed October full of good fall fun and Halloween festivities.  Lane got really into it this year!

I brought Lane's dinner over to the table one night and found this...
He got creative with his placemat!  Made me laugh!

The scary skeleton before school one morning.

He chose vampire teeth as his prize after his teeth cleaning at the dentist.  No cavities!

We made some different art projects leading up to Halloween.  These jack-o-lanterns turned out cute!

He loved squeezing the glue himself!

His masterpiece!

Then he made one more.  This time he chose round eyes and a square nose.

Another good one!

After all of this fun, Lane was super excited to wear his costume and do some trick or treating!
