We had a fun "Christmas Kickoff" weekend! On Saturday Kyle and I took Lane downtown for the Chuy's Christmas Parade. It felt so weird wearing short sleeves in December, but at least it wasn't freezing cold or raining. Lane had a good time and enjoyed the floats. He was excited to see the triceratops float, but said his favorite part was "the clowns."
We were also able to start Lane's Advent calendars. Gran gave him this one and filled it with treats. He was excited to receive some stickers and a piece of chocolate in his first box.
That night when Lane went to bed, he found a familiar face waiting for him! Our Elf on the Shelf, Harvey returned! We read the story before Lane went to bed, and moved Harvey to a safer spot!
The next day, which happened to be Kyle and my 6th wedding anniversary, we went to pick out our tree. We went a couple of places, but ended up getting our tree from Home Depot. Lane wasn't too impressed with the whole ordeal of choosing a tree. I don't think he quite understands yet! Hopefully next year he will be as giddy as I get! haha!
