Scout LOVES living here!
I will miss her company and her hospitality when we move, that's for sure!
Lane had a rough time adjusting at the beginning. He kept saying he wanted to go to "his house" at bedtime and wanted his own bed. (He's been sleeping upstairs with us on a twin mattress on the floor.) We took him by the old house the day we closed, after it was completely empty and clean. He ran to all the rooms asking "did the moving truck take all the stuff from THIS room?"
After about a week he was settled in and has had a blast swimming with mommy each night. He has gotten to be a pretty good little swimmer for a 2 year old! He can jump off the steps and swim about 2 feet underwater to me. He has also enjoyed playing with some old puzzles that I dug out of our toy closet. Did anyone else have "Lauri puzzles" growing up? My mom bought me lots of different ones when I was Lane's age because I enjoyed playing with them at my preschool. She saved them for all these years, and now Lane is enjoying them!
ENJOYING AN EVENING SWIM WITH MOMMY
We packed the last few weeks before our move full of activities and fun outings. We went to San Angelo and Brady to visit the Snowden's and Paw, did a couple of crafts, rode the mini train in Fort Worth, visited the Fort Worth food trucks, had Lane's first popcorn/movie night, went to the Fort Worth Children's Museum and the Dallas World Aquarium, had fun at the splash pad, made a couple of trips to the library, and had lots of lunches and dinners out!
